O'Donnell Griffin will install Origin Energy's solar energy systems across 80 homes in South Australia, WA and NSW this month. Origin Energy, which sees a "primed and ready" domestic market, has projected a $20 million national roll-out of an estimated 20,000 solar panels of 1 kilowatt by 2013. Under the ODG Origin Energy partnership, home-owners can order the rooftop panels directly from Origin Energy, with ODG installing the panels within 12 weeks.

The 12-week window correlates to the time it will take for consumers to process their Federal Government rebate of up to $8000 on a standard $10,000 1 kilowatt panel. Origin Energy and O'Donnell Griffin are confident demand will be strong in the face of rising electricity bills.
