A $220 MILLION wind farm was opened yesterday in the state's Mid-North. Run by New Zealand based Trust Power, the farm at Snowtown has 47 turbines and is one of the largest in the southern hemisphere. It will provide enough electricity to power more than 60,000 homes. "The wind farm will help deliver a new positive image for the town," Snowtown Community Management Committee chairman Paul McCormack said.
